Our History
Esther Ministry Australia has been ministering to women in the Darling Downs and beyond since 1999. Originally we were a ladies fellowship group in Dalby. We had been attending conferences run by the ‘Woman's Renewal Committee' Brisbane for many years for restoration and encouragement. In 1999 we decided to run a camp at the Bunya Mountains, when another camp was cancelled. That camp was very well received by about 50 ladies so the group became Darling Downs Esther Group associated with Esther Ministries.
This association brought with it the heritage from the Women's Renewal Committee (under the Anglican and Uniting Church Renewal Committee) who had ministered to ladies since 1983. They held camps and conferences on the Sunshine Coast, and seminars, renewal days and safaris to Central and Western Queensland with Australian and International speakers. In 1997 the Lord challenged them to enter an area of ministry across denominations, so the name changed to Esther Ministries and they focused on the vision of empowering and equipping women to fulfill their God given destiny.
Esther Ministry Australia includes women from various church backgrounds who make decisions only after seeking the Lord and waiting until there is complete unity. It is not our ministry, it is the Lord's. Spiritual oversight is given by the Holy Spirit and Ps Diane Pearce.
